The Plan
We aim to reduce the energy lost from home heating by encouraging retrofit in the rural homes. There are approximately 1000 people living in the surrounding of Brampton (School catchment). Many homes use oil or Calor gas for heating. We propose to set up a new company which will be able to retrofit these homes by installing insulation and fitting hybrid heat pumps which use hydrogen/ bio LPG as their fuel for extra heat in cold periods.
A special arrangement will be set up with solar panel installers so Brampton residents get a better deal for installation. The requirement for the financial assistance would be the fitting of an EV charging point and some commitment for reducing their carbon footprint.
Skilled people will be needed to insulate rural homes and install solar panel arrays, heat pumps, or possibly to install hydrogen-supplied boilers for heating.
